The technology around us all has made its method into a myriad of films. But there is one film genre this hasn’t had the opportunity to infiltrate вЂ” the romantic comedy.
Hollywood films love technology. Because numerous of us hate it.
Technology represents the latest, the unknown, rendering it the chewiest of movie fodder. For a long time now, genre movies have eagerly played into our collective unease aided by the technology that surrounds us.
The specter of 24-hour digital surveillance evokes our feelings of paranoia and dread in spy movies like the Bourne series.
In popcorn science-fiction movies such as the Terminator series as well as the art-house sci-fi of Ex Machina and, seminally, : A Space Odyssey, computer systems are forever attaining sentience and threatening humanity’s extremely presence.
So when for horror films? Well.
They May Be . perhaps maybe maybe perhaps not especially simple about this.
